CROCHET TSHIRT BATH MAT

For my first pattern post I decided I would start with something small and basic. This website will be completely crochet and crafting. If you have ideas on what I should create, don't hesitate to comment. But if you choose to repost or share, please credit the creators appropriately.

Materials needed:
12mm hook.
2 balls of tshirt yarn in colour A(cream)
1 ball of tshirt yarn in colour B(blue)

I impulse purchased mine from a clearance bin at Michael's and couldn't think of anything to use it for. Due to the weight and feel of it, I knew it needed to be something heavy duty.

This is a beginner pattern with only chaining and half double crochets being used for this.

Ch 41.

Row 1: HDC in second from hook, HDC in every remaining stitch.
Rows 2-5: Ch 1 and HDC in same stitch and every remaining stitch.

Break off yarn here and attach second colour. From here you'll continue this pattern while switching colours every five rows. After 5 stripes you can finish off and weave in ends.

There you have it, a thick heavy duty bath mat OR under the kitchen sink mat and a beginner level pattern.
